Apparently, playing your cello in the middle of the city is kind of the thing to do.

I haven’t posted much lately because I have been out shooting much lately. But here are a couple from Saturday.

Last Sunday, I had a desertventure in the Valley of Fire, about 50 miles outside of Las Vegas. It is beautiful there – see for yourself!

Two of my photos made flickr’s Explore feature this week –
This one

and
This one

I could have taken a million photographs this week like these. The winter light in the small streets and tunnels was beautiful.
This one follows with the other two:

| A “New” year |
[Jan. 5th, 2012|05:49 am] |
|
Last year, I began participating in a 52 week project and I fizzled out somewhere in late March/early April. It’s a new year, and I hope to do better this year (or maybe even finish)! The group has a theme each week and each participant must take their photo as per the theme. Sometimes the themes are difficult and out of my comfort zone and that, I think, is quite good for me.
This year begins with the theme of “new”. I’ve opted to interpret this by taking photographs of dew on the morning of a new day. Perhaps not the most creative of interpretations, but it’s just the beginning.

My choice

Runner up!

| Coral form |
[Nov. 15th, 2011|03:44 pm] |
I started this series some time ago as a response to the prevalent blue lit, photoshopped aquarium photographs in the hobby. Corals and other ocean life is beautiful without any color, just in their different shapes, textures and forms.

| Autumn in Central Park |
[Nov. 8th, 2011|09:45 pm] |
I took a walk to Sara while she was in town and the leaves in Central Park have finally started to change!

Sara has professed a love of duck booty.

And I couldn’t resist one for my series of reflections.
